Lufkin Police Report - 1/10/08

THEFT/A: 1400 BLOCK OF ATKINSON DRIVE. Complainant observed a man in her yard at approximately 2:30am Thursday.  The suspect tried unsuccessfully to steal a go-cart and left in a dark car.

THEFT: 1000 BLOCK OF JOHN REDDITT. A known suspect was seen stealing two 30-packs of beer from a store Wednesday night.

THEFT/B: 2500 BLOCK OF DANIEL MCCALL. Complainant reported that she left her purse in the shopping cart when she loaded her purchases into her car Wednesday evening.  When she returned for it a few minutes later the purse was gone.

THEFT: 1200 BLOCK OF MYRNA. Complainant reported that he left his jacket at a client's house when he did some work and the customer won't return the jacket.  The customer was contacted and she said the man had the jacket with him when she dropped him off after giving him a ride.

BURGLARY: 2100 BLOCK OF FIRST. Complainant reported that his car window was broken out and his wife's purse stolen Wednesday afternoon.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE: 700 BLOCK OF NORTH RAGUET. Complainant reported that her car had been stolen.  Complainant put her car in the shop 8-12 months ago and the shop owner said a man came in June and said he had bought the car and towed it off on a trailer.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 900 BLOCK OF RAGUET. Guns, TV's and other electronics were reported stolen in a residential burglary that occurred Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

DEBIT CARD ABUSE: 900 BLOCK OF EAST DENMAN AVENUE. Complainant reported that he lost his wallet while attending a basketball game Sunday.  The wallet was later recovered but a debit card and a credit card were missing.  The credit card had been used two times since it was stolen.

BURGLARY: 1800 BLOCK OF DENMAN. Complainant reported that the stereo was stolen from her unsecured car Tuesday night.

THEFT/C: 4000 BLOCK OF MEDFORD. Complainant reported that a known suspect left a check for a meal at the restaurant Wednesday morning that was written on a closed account.
