A former Nacogdoches County jailer's poor choice to break the rules ended with her arrest for a felony crime. Tnisha Steadman is out on bond and without a job after she provided a cell phone to an inmate. It's a felony when a person provides any contraband item to an inmate. Sheriff Thomas Kerss explained when normal phone operations are bypassed it can jeopardize security efforts. So far, no ongoing problems have occurred from Steadman's alleged violation.
