East Texas High Schools Honored

Apple Springs high school was picked by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top 1,500 schools in the nation. Apple Springs ISD officials say they found out about the honor after they received a letter over the christmas break.

"It was definitely a surprise for us. But the reaction has been good. It's a real postive thing for our school, Apple Springs ISD Principal Cody Moree said.
