Lufkin Police Report - 1/11/08

ASSAULT: 400 BLOCK OF DOGWOOD.  Complainant reported that a 10 year old boy hit their 7 year son in the stomach Wednesday afternoon.  The child did not require medical treatment.

SEXUAL ASSAULT:  Complainant reported that she and her boyfriend met a male and female at a bar Wednesday night and went to another location to buy drugs.  The complainant reported that the male subject sexually assaulted her at that house.

BURGLARY OF HABITATION: 1000 BLOCK OF MITCHELL.  Complainant reported that unknown person broke into his house Wednesday afternoon and damaged his big screen TV.

ASSAULT: 900 BLOCK OF ELLEN TROUT.  Complainant reported that he and his juvenile son got into an argument Thursday morning and the son punched the father in the face.  The complainant was not injured.

DEBIT CARD ABUSE: 2200 BLOCK OF SOUTH. FIRST STREET.   Complainant reported that a know suspect stole his wallet on January 05 and has now used his debit card several times without authorization.

ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING: 500 BLOCK OF NORTH JOHN REDDITT DRIVE.  Complainant reported that her ex-boyfriend grabbed her and forced her into his vehicle in an attempt to kidnap her Thursday afternoon.  The woman managed to escape and run back into her workplace before the suspect could take her from the scene.

THEFT: 100 BLOCK OF WESTMONT.  Complainant reported that some antique money and coins were stolen from her residence sometime within the past two years.

ASSAULT: 1600 BLOCK SUNRISE.  Complainant reported that he was assaulted by a known suspect and four or five other unknown suspects for no apparent reason Thursday evening.  The complainant had no visible injuries.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF MOTOR VEHICLE/EVADING DETENTION WITH A VEHICLE/POSSESSION OF A DANGEROUS DRUG: 300 BLOCK OF CUNNINGHAM.  Complainant reported that he left his keys in his car in his driveway and heard the car crank late Thursday night.  Complainant went outside to see a man driving his car off.  A short time later officers spotted the car on Lufkin Avenue and the suspect fled in the car when officers tried to stop the car.  The suspect fled and struck a utility pole in the 900 block of Jane St. and was arrested at the scene.  He was found to be in possession of a prescription drug without a prescription at the time of his arrest.  Paul Dan Coons, 39, was booked into county jail.
