Ella Lilley, 79, of Lufkin, was born November 25, 1928, the daughter of the late Lenora (Butler) and Charles Edward Ray, Sr. She passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Lilley was a homemaker and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo, was a big sports fan and an avid reader. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, Floyd Lilley of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Walter and Patricia Lilley and Maxie and Jackie Lilley, all of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Jim Stone of Houston; daughter-in-law, Judy Lilley of Lufkin; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Necil Holsomback of North Richland Hills; brother, Wilbur Ray of Temple; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mrs. Lilley was preceded in death by her husband, Wood Lilley; son, Wilbur Lilley; daughter, Betty Harrell; and son, Richard Lilley.
Pallbearers will be Travis Lilley, Joseph Lilley, Justin Lilley, Jason Lilley, Bobby Ray and Randy Ray.

Services for 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Elton Musick officiating. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Campground Cemetery in Woodville.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
