Texas Collegiate Baseball Coming to East Texas

Summertime usually means baseball, snow cones and hot dogs.  And fans can enjoy all of those when they check out the new Texas Collegiate baseball Franchise that will call Kilgore's Driller park home this summer.

The League made the announcement on Wednesday.  This League allows college players to experience a minor league system.  Plus, they have the added bonus of being scouted by the pros.

They will have a 48 game schedule, 24 of those at Driller Park.  The season runs June through August.  The last time Driller Park hosted minor league baseball was 1950.

There's one problem.  The team has no name.  They want the fans to pick one. They are looking for something a little off-beat and wacky.  Deadline is January 25 th .
