Sexual Assault Trial Ends

Guilty as charged is the verdict in the sexual assault trial of an East Texas man charged on nine counts of indecency charges relating to the rape of two underage girls.

Forty-year old William Cramer of Hudson was arrested in November of 2006.  He was charged with nine counts of indecency to a child by contact, aggravated assault of a child and sexual assault of a child.  Cramer took the stand Wednesday and denied the accusations.

During closing arguments, the prosecution argued that several doctors who treated the girls say they had injuries consistent with sexual assault.  The defense argued both girls had inconsistencies in their written statements and their testimonies.

The trial resumes today with the punishment phase.  We'll have continuing coverage on the East Texas News.
