Lufkin Police Report - 1/22/08

DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED: 3000 BLOCK OF SOUTH FIRST STREET. A driver injured in a car accident was believed to have been intoxicated.  The driver refused to submit to a blood test and a warrant will be obtained pending the driver's release from the hospital.

ASSAULT: 2400 BLOCK OF WEST FRANK AVENUE. An elderly woman in a nursing home was found to have bruising on her hand.  She told the staff that a man hit her and threatened her.  The victim could not name a suspect and reportedly suffers from some degree of dementia.

HARASSMENT: 500 BLOCK OF NORTH MEDFORD DRIVE. Complainant reported that her ex-boyfriend is harassing her by repeated phone calls and coming to her workplace after being told to leave her alone.

THEFT: 500 BLOCK OF BONNER STREET. Complainant reported that a large metal business sign was stolen over the weekend.

THEFT: HARMONY HILL. A trailer with a Lincoln welding machine on it was stolen from a construction site over the weekend.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 1000 BLOCK OF COLUMBUS. Complainant reported that his cell phone was stolen in a vehicle burglary Sunday night.

THEFT/FELONY: 2400 BLOCK OF NORTH JOHN REDDITT DRIVE. A large phone cable was pulled down from the poles, cut and stolen sometime Sunday night.

ASSAULT/AGGRAVATED: 400 BLOCK OF NORTH TIMBERLAND DRIVE. Complainant reported that she sustained a laceration to her head when a known female suspect hit her in the head with a beer bottle Sunday night.
