Christine Rose Cunningham
Funeral services for Christine Rose Cunningham, 81, of Zavalla will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Zavalla, with Reverend Jacob Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery.
Christine was born April 9, 1926 in Palestine, Texas to Lola Alice (Stalsby) and Kendricks Garfield Rose and died January 21, 2008, at her residence.
Mrs. Cunningham was a member of First Baptist Church, Zavalla, and served as church secretary from 1987-2001. She loved to travel, visit family, shop, and sing in the choir.
Survivors include her husband, John Cunningham of Zavalla; daughter and son-in-law, Carla Sue and William Ragland of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Patsy Walters of Bull Shoals, Arkansas; grandson, Scott Walters of Georgetown, Texas; granddaughters, Lisa Shurgot of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kirsten Ragland of Conroe, Michelle Burt of Fullerton, California, Corey Snodgrass of Lufkin, Sheryl Walters Butler of Brighton, England; 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Pat Rose of Palestine; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice In the Pines, 116 S. Raguet, Lufkin, Texas 75901.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
