Lufkin Police Report - 1/23/08

BURGLARY/BUILDING: 900 BLOCK OF NORTH TIMBERLAND. Officers responding to a burglar alarm at 12:50am Wednesday found pry marks on the back door of a business.  A padlock had also been cut off a storage building at the location but nothing was noted missing at the time of the report.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 1500 BLOCK OF ELEANOR STREET. Complainant reported that someone broke into her home and stole a video game and some game software Tuesday.

THEFT: 900 BLOCK OF JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported that he left his cell phone in the shop area of a business Tuesday and when he returned for it later the phone was missing.

THEFT/FELONY: 300 BLOCK OF GASLIGHT BLOCK. Complainant reported that a check received as payment for services had been diverted from the office deposit and cashed by an unknown person.

DRUG ACTIVITY: 500 BLOCK OF SOUTH FIRST STREET. A probation officer reported that a probationer had falsified a mandatory drug test last week.  The probationer admitted on Tuesday to faking the test and turned over the device he had used to fake the test.  A warrant has been requested.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: 200 BLOCK OF EVERETT STREET. Complainant reported that a known suspect came to her home Tuesday despite having been issued a trespass warning for that location.

THEFT/B: 300 BLOCK OF EAST DENMAN AVENUE. Complainant reported that a tax preparation business has had some of her personal papers since 2006 and will not return them.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 800 BLOCK OF MARTHA. Complainant reported that a window on her home was broken by unknown means Tuesday.

BURGLARY/COIN OPERATED MACHINES: 2400 BLOCK OF EAST DENMAN AVENUE. Complainant reported that four coin operated machines were broken into at a washateria Monday night.

BURGLARY/BUILDING: 400 BLOCK OF WEST FRANK. Complainant reported that a business was broken into Monday night and some food items, cash, makeup and a portable stereo were stolen.

BURGLARY/BUILDING: 3400 BLOCK OF NERREN STREET. Complainant reported that a vacant rent house was broken into during the past three weeks and several plumbing fixtures and an air conditioner were stolen.
