Funeral services for Billy Ronald (Ronny) Summers, 51, of Huntington will be held Friday, January 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Bobby Russell and Reverend M.H. Shubert officiating. Interment will follow in the Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery.
Mr. Summers was born December 18, 1956 in Lufkin, Texas to Neloise (Maberry) and Billy Earl Summers, and died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Summers was a lifetime resident of Huntington and was a former butcher for Brookshire Brothers for 32 years. He was currently employed by J.D. Logging. Mr. Summers was a member of the Rocky Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Neloise Summers of Huntington; fiancée, Brenda Mott Sullender of Zavalla; son and fiancée, Kevin Summers and Mandy Havard of Lufkin; daughter and fiancé, Kelly Summers and Brandon Stephens of Lufkin; stepson, Aaron Sullender of Zavalla; grandchildren, Madison and McKenzie Summers, both of Huntington; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Ronny Jennings of Lufkin; brothers, Donny and Barbara of Huntington and Brant and Tracy of Huntington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Earl Summers; and grandparents, Herman and Eula Maberry, Brantley Summers and Bertie Manry.
Pallbearers will be Gene Sullivan, Roger Grimes, John Howell, Scott Morehead, Keith Carrell, Jerry Evett, David Linstrom, Richard Thomas and Jeff Ward.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronny Oates and David Williams.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
