Nacogdoches Police Report - 1/25/08

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 4800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant reported that unknown suspects entered an unsecured parked vehicle and removed several items. Taken were a purse with identifying information and three cell phones.

DWI: 2800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Officers investigated a minor traffic accident and suspected a driver of being intoxicated. Matthew Robert Sanders was arrested.

THEFT: 4800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant reported that a purse was stolen on January 22nd. Investigation underway.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 400 BLOCK OF WEST MAIN STREET. Complainant stated that he had left a club and was approached by a white male suspect. An altercation ensued and a large amount of people were involved attempting to break up the fight. The victim then drove home and noticed blood in the car. That is when he found that he had been cut on the back. Investigation underway.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 700 BLOCK OF EAST STARR AVENUE. Complainant reported a purse stolen from inside a vehicle. The purse contained two checkbooks.

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING: LUV HOMES, 4609 SOUTH STREET. Complainant reported that a lock was cut off a storage building and a dolly was removed.

THEFT: 2400 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant reported that a black male entered a business and bought a bag of chips. During the money exchange, the suspect short changed the clerk $50.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION: 2000 BLOCK OF RAILROAD. Complainant reported a personal computer stolen from a residence while gone overnight. No forced entry was noted.

HIT AND RUN: PRESS ROAD. Unknown driver was westbound on press road and struck a fence belonging to Texas Farm Products. The vehicle left the scene.
