James G. Carlisle
Graveside services for James G. Carlisle, 62, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery with Brother Bruce Thornton officiating.
Mr. Carlisle was born July 31, 1945 in Lufkin, Texas, to Thelma Louise (Brimer) and Homer Grady Carlisle, and died Saturday, January 26, 2008 in a local hospital.
Mr. Carlisle was a lifetime resident of East Texas, having resided in both the Lufkin and Nacogdoches areas. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a Maintenance Supervisor for Texas Foundries. Mr. Carlisle was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Shawn Carlisle of Lufkin; son, Daniel Dean Damon of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Sandra Carlisle of Lufkin; aunts and uncles, Clarine Akridge of Corrigan, Dorothy and Edward Oaters of Huntington and Faye Brimer of Andrews; brother-in-law, Roe Belrose of Center; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Carlisle; mother and stepfather, Louise and Preston "Buster" Oates; brother, Billy Carlisle; and sister, Mary Belrose.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
