Texas District & County Retirement System Board of Trustees

Governor Rick Perry has reappointed Polk County Commissioner Bob Willis to the Texas District and County Retirement System Board of Trustees (TCDRS).

TCDRS is a non-profit, public trust providing pension, disability and death benefits for the eligible employees of participating counties and districts.  Willis' new term will expire in 2013, he was first appointed to the Board of Trustees by Governor Perry in 2004.

"I am honored that Governor Perry has reappointed me to the TCDRS Board of Trustees.   It is a great privilege to serve and a tremendous responsibility as well", commented Commissioner Willis.

"Our mission is to provide financial security for our members and I look forward to continuing to work with my fellow Trustees and our dedicated staff", added Willis.

TCDRS has been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for excellence in financial reporting and was also awarded the Public Pension Coordinating Council's (PPCC) Public Pension Standards award for 2006, which is the third consecutive year that the system received this award
