Nacogdoches Police Report - 1/30/08

THEFT: 4800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant reported the theft of a gold wedding band. Complainant stated that she was wearing the band when she left home and upon returning home the ring was missing.

ASSAULT: 1900 BLOCK OF BERRY DRIVE. Complainant reported being assaulted by a known female suspect in a parking lot during a disturbance. No injuries; warrant requested.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION: 900 BLOCK OF HOLLYOAK. Complainant reported that his secured residence was entered by unknown means and an Audio Box DVD player was stolen.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE (4 CASES): 4100 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Four unsecured vehicles were entered and several items taken. A large amount of tools, both standard and metric, CD's and a CD player, and prescription medication were reported as missing.

THEFT: 300 BLOCK OF SOUTH CHURCH. Unknown suspects entered an unoccupied residence and stole a refrigerator.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION: 300 BLOCK OF ZENO STREET. A homeowner surprised a suspect during a burglary. The suspect fled and officers located the suspect a short distance away. Marshan Haggerty was arrested.

DEATH OF A PERSON: 1000 BLOCK OF DURST STREET. A man was found deceased in his residence, apparently from a self inflicted gunshot wound. No apparent signs of foul play. Final ruling on cause of death will be made by justice of the peace.
