Church's Chicken on North Temple in Diboll received 11 demerits. All employees need food handlers certification. Food was stored in undrained ice. And there were no scoop handles for bulk items.
Quizno's on South Medford got 8 demerits. There were dirty freezer shelves. And no hot water in the men's restroom.
Congrats to Ray's Drive-In, Ccookie Advantage, and Tokyo Japanese Steak and Seafood House, all received 0 demerits.

During a Monday night special meeting, Nacogdoches Independent School District named Sandra Dowdy the lone finalist for the superintendent position. Dowdy has served as interim for the last several months. Per a press release from NISD, Dowdy was selected from a field of 45 applicants.
