Lufkin Police Report - 2/04/08

FOUND/MISC. PROPERTY: 1100 BLOCK OF SOUTH TIMBERLAND DRIVE. Complainant found a credit card in the parking lot Sunday.  Officers were not able to locate the owner.

BURGLARY/BUILDING: 700 BLOCK OF ATKINSON. A business owner driving by his business Sunday night scared a burglar off.  The owner saw a side door open on his car lot and a male standing outside the building.  The suspect fled and the owner didn't find anything missing although his desk had been rummaged through.

ASSAULT/C: 500 BLOCK OF SETLIFF. Complainant reported that her husband hit her in the face with his hand during an argument Sunday evening.  The victim had no visible injuries.

ASSAULT/A: 200 BLOCK OF SOUTH TIMBERLAND. A man suffered a head injury during a disturbance Sunday night.  The man was hospitalized with a fractured bone and a laceration to his head after being hit with a wine bottle.  According to the other man and woman involved, the subject had been a guest at their motel room and they kicked him out.  He kicked the door in and came back inside and got into a fight with the male room resident.  The female room resident then hit the man in the head with a wine bottle, knocking him unconscious.  No charges have been filed at this time and the matter is being investigated by detectives.

ASSAULT/A: RAGUET. Two women reported that they were assaulted by four women and a man at a Superbowl party Sunday evening.  One woman suffered a bump on her head and the other suffered bruising, scrapes and minor lacerations.

THEFT/C: 1100 BLOCK OF NORTH TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that he allowed a female friend stay at his motel room while he ran some errands Sunday.  When he returned a bag of change valued at $20 and the female were both gone.

VIOLATION PROTECTIVE: 100 BLOCK OF SOUTH END BL. Complainant reported that her estranged husband came to her house Friday in violation of a protective order.
