Lufkin Police Report - 2/06/08

BURGLARY: 2900 BLOCK OF SOUTH JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported that her home was broken into and her room ransacked Tuesday.  Nothing was noted missing at the time of the report.

BURGLARY: 2900 BLOCK OF JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported that her home was broken into Tuesday but nothing was taken.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 2900 SOUTH JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported that her home was broken into Tuesday and a coin collection, some currency, hair clippers and jewelry were stolen.

THEFT: 4500 BLOCK OF MEDFORD. Complainant reported that a man and woman were observed in a store apparently trying to conceal merchandise on their persons.  When they left the security device indicated they had store merchandise on them.  The clerk tried to stop them but they fled with unknown items.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 1800 BLOCK OF SAYERS STREET. Complainant reported a cell phone, DVD player and a digital camera stolen in a residential burglary that occurred Tuesday morning.

ROBBERY/AGGRAVATED: 1400 BLOCK OF ATKINSON DRIVE. Complainant reported that a man tried to rob a paint store Tuesday morning.  The victim said a female came in the store and asked to use the restroom.  As the employee escorted her to the back a man came in and opened the register.  The victim and the suspect struggled and the suspect tried to stab the victim with a pair of needle nose pliers.  The suspect fled with some cash and the female apparently fled, unseen, out the back.  The victim sustained some minor scratches but required no medical treatment.  The male suspect is described as a black male in his 30's, approximately 5'9" tall and 155 lbs. with lines shaved in the back of his hair and having what appeared to be a teardrop tattoo near his eye.  The female was described as a black female being in her early 30's, 5'3" tall, 115 lbs. with a gold tooth.

THEFT/B: 100 BLOCK OF SOUTHEND. Complainant reported that a known suspect wrote him a check as payment for a job, and the suspect closed the account on the day the check was written.

ASSAULT: 1400 BLOCK OF SLACK. Complainant reported that his wife hit him in the face and pulled a knife on him during a disturbance Tuesday afternoon.

DISTURBANCE/DOMESTIC: 3000 BLOCK OF SOUTH JOHN REDDITT DRIVE. Complainant reported that traffic incident resulted in an unknown Hispanic male pointing a handgun at her and her family Tuesday afternoon.  The complainant said the suspect followed them to a parking lot and pointed a handgun at them before leaving in a red newer Dodge P/U. 

THEFT/FELONY: 400 BLOCK OF NEW BETHEL ROAD. Complainant reported that jewelry and precious metals were stolen from a residence during the past week.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 200 BLOCK OF FOREST PARK DRIVE. Complainant reported that her home was broken into Monday but nothing was noted missing.

BURGLARY: 2900 JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported a video game, a cell phone and some DVD's were stolen in a burglary at his home Tuesday.
