Virgle Lee Yarbrough "Spooks"
Virgle Lee Yarbrough "Spooks", was born November 3, 1930, in Angelina County, Texas, the son of the late Allie Mae (Moore) and Nooland Pinkney Yarbrough. He passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008, in the Houston V.A. Medical Center.
Mr. Yarbrough was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He had been employed with Turn Key Machinery. He enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors. Mr. Yarbrough served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Yarbrough of Cleveland; daughters, Tammy Yarbrough Delaney, Rose Yarbrough Young and Connie Renee Overbay, all of Cleveland; brothers, Anson Yarbrough, Curtis Yarbrough, both of New Caney, William Yarbrough and Carl Yarbrough, both of Lufkin; sister, Audrey Chapman of Goodrich; grandchildren, Kevin Delaney, Justin Campbell, Destiny Yarbrough, Dusty Young and Dylan Yarbrough; step-grandson, Brandon Young; and numerous other family members.
Mr. Yarbrough was preceded in death by his parents, Nooland Pinkney Yarbrough and Allie Mae Yarbrough; brother, Marlin Ray Yarbrough; and granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Delaney.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Young, Kevin Delaney, Dylan Yarbrough, Rickey Young, Mike Overbay, Kenny Dollery and Justin Campbell.
Services for Mr. Yarbrough will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bill Kato officiating. Interment will follow in the Newman Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
