Nacogdoches Police Report - 2/13/08

HIT AND RUN: 4900 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant reported that a parked vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle and left the scene without giving information.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 1300 BLOCK OF DOUGLASS ROAD. A suspect went to a vehicle and removed a Pioneer CD player. The suspect was on scene when officers arrived, and Edmund Griffin was arrested.

DWI: 2700 BLOCK OF NW STALLINGS DRIVE. A suspect vehicle was driving erratically and was called in to police. The suspect vehicle was located and the driver was contacted. Officers suspected the driver of being intoxicated and Lila Peal was arrested.

ASSAULT: 200 BLOCK OF OAKHILL PLAZA. Two individuals were involved in a domestic disturbance.  A known suspect assaulted female victim by throwing her to the floor. Another male attempted to intervene, and he was assaulted and suffered a lacerated lip. Warrants requested.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: 1700 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant had been previously given a criminal trespass warning for the property at McDonalds. Suspect entered on the property and Sammy Polk was arrested.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 300 BLOCK OF MACKECHNEY. Complainant reported that unknown suspects entered his vehicle and stole a cobra radar detector and some cigarettes.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 4900 BLOCK OF WOODCREEK. An unsecured vehicle was entered and an I-pod was stolen.

POSSESSION OF A DANGEROUS DRUG: 5000 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. The suspect, Brandon Bailey, was wanted for an assault that occurred in the county. Officers stopped Bailey and placed him in an NPD unit. Bailey was then placed in a sheriff's patrol car and a quantity of suspected dangerous drugs were located in the police vehicle where bailey was sitting. He was charged with the offense.
