No Wesley Musick, no Brandon Belt, not even Hunter Rowe. So what?
"I don't see a weak spot on this team," senior Jeremy Pounds says of the 2008 Hudson baseball team.
What they lack in big names, they make up for in experience. Twelve seniors will lead the way.
"I've never been apart of a team with this much experience," Pounds says. "Twelve seniors, that's a lot of guys that have been playing four years. Not all have been on the varsity level, but most."
"This lineup we have is just so strong from the first to the ninth batter," senior outfielder Bobby Byrd says. "It's just ridiculous."
With so much balance, the Hornets only have ending in mind.
"We don't talk about district or playoffs," Byrd says. "Just state."
"I'm very excited," Pounds says. "I'm expecting nothing less then a state championship. That's what I want. I want to graduate and have that."
