President Clinton In Lufkin

by Christa Lollis

The Pitser Garrison Civic Center in Lufkin was full from wall to wall.  The crowd was excited and cheering as President Bill Clinton entered the room.  The president traveled through Texas this week campaigning for Hillary.  Clinton told the crowd why his wife should be voted president come November 2008.

Healthcare, the war in Iraq and education were the three hot topics of Clinton's speech.  He says that Hillary will create a healthcare plan that every American will be able to afford.  He told the crowd that she believes every American deserves healthcare.  As for the war, the former President told East Texans that his wife is ready to end the war.  She hopes to bring the troops home and bring them home safely.  Now he hopes East Texans will hit the poles on March 4th.
