Lois Barrett Harbuck

Lois Barrett Harbuck, 82, of Lufkin, was born October 30, 1925, in Fuller Springs, Texas, the daughter of the late Ruby B. (Williams) and Will G. Barrett. She passed away Saturday, February 16,2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Harbuck was retired from Wilson Super Red, where she had worked as a purchasing agent. She was an active member of Homer United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sisters, Betty Brigham of Garland, Doris Bryant of Pineland and Peggy Whitter of Kingswood; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Max Cammack of Pasadena; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Charlcye Barrett of Pasadena; special friends, Sheroden Porter and Kendell Porter; and a number of other family members and friends.

Mrs. Harbuck was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Otis Harbuck, whom she married on December 22 1945; son, Charles Bruce Harbuck; sisters, Margaret Holiday and Genva Williams; and brothers, Jimmy Barrett and J. D. Barrett.

Pallbearers will be Jake Stringer, Roger Harbuck, Otis Harbuck, Mike Harbuck, Jack Earl Smith and Steve Porter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Barrett and Max Cammack.

Services for Mrs. Harbuck will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Michael Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
