Nacogdoches Police Report - 2/20/08

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 4800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Unknown suspect entered the complainant's vehicle and took two pairs of children's boots and a breathing machine.

THEFT: 200 BLOCK OF PERRY DRIVE. Overnight, an unknown suspect removed several tools, a green bag containing tools, an air compressor and a Winchester .22 rifle from a carport.

THEFT: 1100 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant reported a stolen wallet that was left next to a computer in the library.  A juvenile female was located nearby that was in possession of the wallet. She was arrested and transported to juvenile detention.

FORGERY: 1900 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. Complainant reported that unknown suspects cashed his paycheck without permission.

DWI: 2800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Suspect was stopped for a traffic violation. Officers suspected the driver of being intoxicated and Thomas Pratt was arrested.

HIT AND RUN: 1700 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. Unknown suspect struck a utility pole and left the scene. Investigation underway.

THEFT-ESCAPE-RESISTING ARREST-FAILURE TO ID-WARRANT FOR PROBATION VIOLATION: 4800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Officers were called in reference to a theft suspect evading a Wal-Mart loss prevention officer. Officers stopped the suspect in the 5300 block of North Street. The suspect was handcuffed, and broke away from officers and was captured approximately 100 yards away. The suspect was in possession of suspected Xanax, and resisted officers when they attempted to place him in the patrol car. Dexter Davison was arrested.
