Lufkin Police Report - 2/25/08

BURGLARY:  500 BLOCK OF LAUREL.  Officers responding to an active burglary alarm just before 5am this morning found a business had been broken into.  The owner didn't notice anything missing from the building but an enclosed trailer that was parked outside the building had also been forced open and three spools of wire were stolen from the trailer.    

BURGLARY/HABITATION:  1500 BLOCK OF SOUTH FIRST ST.  An officer on patrol found an RV that had been broken into around 3:30 Monday morning.  A wall mounted television was stolen.    

BURGLARY/BUILDING:  200 BLOCK OF SOUTH MEDFORD DR.  Officers responding to an active burglary alarm just after midnight Monday found that two businesses had been broken into.  Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. had been broken into and a laptop was missing.  The burglar(s) broke through a wall of TPWD and into Sprint Cellular Store and stole an unknown number of cell phones and accessories.  

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1000 BLOCK OF JONES.  Complainant reported that a known suspect came knocking on her window around 3am Monday.  When she told him to go away the suspect broke the window out and left.          

BURGLARY:  2500 BLOCK OF DANIEL MCCALL.  Complainant reported that an Xbox 360 video game was stolen from her unlocked car Saturday.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1100 BLOCK OF TIMBERLAND.  Complainant reported that a known suspect kicked open a motel room door, causing damage Sunday.  The suspect was located near the scene and said he kicked the door open to an adjoining room, which was occupied, to get away from his wife who was knocking on his room door.  Charges are pending.    

ROBBERY:  500 BLOCK OF HODGE.  Complainant reported that a man attempted to rob her as she walked home around 1:30am Sunday morning.  The complainant reported that the man demanded money and shoved her down.  Complainant said she didn't have any money so the man didn't get anything before fleeing the scene.
