A 26-year-old Tyler man is in police custody after leading authorities on a high speed chase. Lufkin Police responded to a disturbance at The Alamo Apartments on Second Street. The details are still sketchy, but Jerri Corri Henry had a felony parole violation and took off in a Ford pickup at 9:30 Monday night. For 45 minutes, he lead authorities all over Lufkin at high speeds. Lufkin police, the Angelina County Sheriff's Department and Constable Precinct 1 pursued Henry in and out of the city limits across MLK, Sayers, along Highway 69 North and around Loop 287 before he crashed into a ditch near Judith and Andrew Streets. Henry then ran into a neighborhood where authorities were able to corner him inside a home of someone he knew. KTRE will continue to bring you updates as they become available.
