Nac Wins, Lufkin Falls

by Ryan Peterson

THURSDAY SCORES

CONROE 4, LUFKIN 0

The Pack fell to 2-and-3 in district after losing in Conroe.  It's the second time Lufkin has been shut out in district play.  Lufkin had the bases loaded in the seventh inning, but couldn't bring home a run.

NACOGDOCHES 5, JACKSONVILLE 4

The Dragons stayed prefect in district with a one run win.  Justin McAninch pitched and took care of business at the plate.  McAninch was 3-for-4 with two rbi's.

WEDNESDAY SCORES

LUFKIN 3, MAGNOLIA 2

It's rare for Marty Anderson to give up an earned run.  He gave up two in the second inning against Magnolia.  He wasn't perfect, but still very good.  Anderson answered with five scoreless innings on the mound.  Magnolia managed just four hits on the night.

Will Horn scored two of Lufkin's runs and knocked in the other, as the Pack moved to 2-and-2 in district play.  Lufkin has a short turnaround, as they visit Conroe Thursday night.

NAC 11, HENDERSON 1

Nacogdoches continued to roll in district 12-4A on Wednesday night.  The Dragons run ruled Henderson 11 to 1 in five innings.  Cody Lock allowed one run in the fifth inning.  Henderson could never solve the Dragons lineup, as Nac scored in every inning.  A five run 4th inning put the game away.

Nacogdoches looks to stay perfect in district on Thursday at Jacksonville.
