J.B. Todd, 79, of Broaddus, was born August 24, 1928, in Alto, Texas, the son of the late Lucy (Reeves) and Bruce Todd. He passed away on Friday, March 21, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Todd was a retired iron worker, having worked for Local 125 in Beaumont for 30 years. He loved to fish and hunt, and he also enjoyed gardening. Mr. Todd was a member and deacon at Parkway Baptist Church in Bronson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Todd of Broaddus; son, James E. Todd of Nacogdoches; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sisters, Lucille Barbe and Laqueta Whitworth.
Preceding Mr. Todd in death were his parents; his daughter, Charlotte Depew; a brother, Curtis Todd; and a sister, Christine Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Robert Depew, Richard Depew, Michael Depew, Jason Todd, Pat Hallander, and Robert Depew, Jr.
Services for Mr. Todd will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dalton Havard and Reverend Author Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
