Nacogdoches Police Report - 3/26/08

THEFT: 1100 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE. Complainant reported that a clerk rang up a customer sale, took the money, and then cancelled the sale. Investigation underway.

THEFT: 1300 BLOCK OF SOUTH STREET. An unknown suspect put two 30 packs of beer, cigarettes, and snuff on the counter. The clerk allegedly did not charge the person, and they left the store without paying for them. Investigation underway.

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING: 5100 BLOCK OF MEADOWVIEW. A lock was removed from a storage building and several tools, old paperwork, and a television was taken.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 1500 BLOCK OF PEARL STREET. Complainant's parked vehicle was damaged by small pieces of asphalt. Dents in the hood and door.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 312 WEST MAIN. A known suspect came to the police department. The suspect became upset and damaged the front door and electronic lock of the police station. Warrant requested.

ASSAULT: 200 BLOCK OF WEDGEWOOD. Suspect assaulted a female victim during a disturbance. No injuries. Matthew Chandler was arrested.

THEFT: 4800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. A clerk was observed by loss prevention failing to scan items. Shanise Clemons was arrested.

HIT AND RUN: 1200 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. A vehicle was struck by a 4 door red Explorer which left the scene.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION: 1500 BLOCK OF ELIZA STREET. Complainant reported that a residence was entered by an open window. Over $100.00 in cash was found missing.

THEFT: 4700 BLOCK OF SOUTH STREET. A coin machine was ripped from a wall and the money taken out of it.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 3000 BLOCK OF NORTH PECAN. Unknown suspects threw a wooden block through a window.

THEFT: 3400 BLOCK OF SOUTH STREET. Complainant reported that an undetermined amount of cash was missing from a night deposit. Investigation underway.

ASSAULT: 300 BLOCK OF ELLINGTON. Complainant reported that a known suspect pushed her during a disturbance. Warrant requested.
