The Lufkin city council had a busy Tuesday night.
They approved an abatement request to improve the Angelina hotel. There will be a $1.5 million made in improvements to the hotel. They will turn the hotel into 80 apartments for senior living.
The council also passed a Texas Forest Country retirement marketing initiative for $10-thousand to promote the area.
And, they will demolish nine structures in Lufkin, because they are eye-sores and to decrease drug activity in these homes.
