Lufkin Police Report - 4/7/08

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1800 BLOCK OF WEST FRANK.  Complainant reported that the front glass door to a business was broken out and video surveillance shows a male suspect entering the store and tampering with the safe.  Nothing was taken in the burglary which occurred just after 2am Monday.

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE:  100 BLOCK OF BENDING OAK.  Complainant reported that her boyfriend hit her in the face during an argument Sunday night.  The victim had visible bruising on her face and the suspect had left the scene.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING:  100 BLOCK OF SOUTH END BLVD.  Complainant reported that a check that he wrote to a known suspect for yard work was altered to add six hundred dollars to the amount and cashed by the suspect.

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE:  800 BLOCK OF ROYLE.  Complainant reported that her estranged left several threatening and profanity-laced messages on her voice mail Sunday.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  400 BLOCK OF LYNN ST.  Complainant reported that the paint on his truck was scratched with some type sharp object Saturday night.

ROBBERY:  1100 BLOCK OF SOUTH TIMBERLAND DR.  Complainant reported that she was attacked by a man while walking in Kiwanis Park Sunday afternoon.  The victim said she was walking on the walking trail around 12:20pm when an unknown black male hit her in the back of her head and knocked her down.  The male demanded to know how much cash the victim had.  When told she had no money the suspect slammed her face into the ground and fled on foot towards Tulane St.  The victim sustained a bloody nose and lips and abrasions to her hands and knees.  The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, in his twenties wearing a black T-shirt, long dark colored shorts and white tennis shoes.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  400 BLOCK LOCKE ALLEY.  Complainant reported that two windows were broken out of his pickup Saturday night.
