Le Potager's Chewy Granola Bar Recipe

1 c. chocolate chips

4 c. oats

2 c. each of puffed rice and puffed wheat

1 c. almond slices

1 c. sunflower seeds

1/4 c. sesame seeds

1 1/2 c. of dried fruit (avoiding banana chips as they tend to burn)

1 c. brown sugar

1 tsp. each of salt and cinnamon

pinch of clove powder

1 1/2 c. honey (warmed)

1/4 c. vegetable oil

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease cookie sheet.

Combine dry ingredients and, either with greased or gloved hands, add wet ingredients, mixing to combine thoroughly.

Press into greased cookie sheet with hands first and then with the bottom of another cookie sheet that has been greased.

Bake in oven for a total of 1 hour (turning after 30 minutes). Remove and allow to cool before turning out onto a clean cutting board. Cut to any size or shape desired while still warm and wrap individually with plastic wrap. Can be stored in refrigerator or in an air-tight container...Enjoy!
