Brenda Ann Goodwin Choate
Funeral services for Brenda Ann Goodwin Choate, 58, of Wells will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Horace Fletcher and Brother Clayton McClendon officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Choate was born July 11, 1949 in Texas City, Texas to Nell Rose (Miles) and John Marvin Goodwin, and died Thursday, April 10, 2008 in a local hospital. She had resided in Wells most of her life. Mrs. Choate was a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin Choate of Wells; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Shelley Choate of Wells; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Billy Ferguson of Apple Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Summer Choate of Wells; six grandchildren; mother and stepfather, Nell Rose and Earl Grubbs of Forrest; sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Wendell Smith of Forrest; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Marvin Goodwin; and brother, Morris Ray Goodwin.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Bailey, Phillip Bailey, Paul Bailey, Robert Petty, Micheal Wayne Petty and Richard Petty.
Honorary pallbearer will be Wendall Smith.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
