Raymond E. "Bubba" Mott
Raymond E. "Bubba" Mott, 50, of Lufkin, was born August 15, 1957, in Jasper, Texas, and passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at his residence.
Bubba was the "rock" of the family, he kept the family together and everyone out of trouble. He was truly an angel among us. He attended Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Elsie and Bubba English of Kennard and Charlotte and Glenn Barton of Lufkin; sister, Mary Priscilla Parker of Lufkin; brother, Robert Mott of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Robert Brown of Pasadena; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bubba was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby (Ross) and R. E. Mott; brother, Allen Dexter Mott; brother-in-law, Tim Parker; numerous aunts, uncles and a nephew.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Hamilton, Daniel Hamilton, Timothy Hamilton, Christopher Mott, Charlie Ross, James "Bubba" Snook and Buddy Bailey.
Services for Bubba will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Walter Futch officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
