Empire Buffet on South First Street got 11 demerits. Health inspectors say the temperature for the raw grill meat was wrong. The sanitizer dispenser needed repair and the scoop handle was in food items.
KB & Company in Zavalla got 10 demerits. Children were in the food prep area. The household freezer needs to be removed and the hand sink must have hot and cold water.
And congratulations to Lufkin High School, Zavalla Cafeteria, Pineywoods Academy, Lufkin Head Start, Steven's Catering, and Smoothie King, all received zero demerits for this week's Restaurant Report..
