A man is dead after his ATV crashed into a pipe fence. The Angelina County sheriff's office says there was a group of friends riding the ATV's in Sarn near FM 1270. 43 year old Aaron Virgil Windham II was second in line to go through a gate but it was dark so they think he may not have known the gate wasn't fully open. A metal plate on the fence pushed him off his ATV and he landed behind it. He was pronounced dead on the scene when paramedics arrived. Windham had just moved to East Texas after retiring as a police officer in California.
