Asthma Camp

Asthma is the leading serious chronic illness among children. Even though asthma can not be cured, it can almost always be controlled.

An asthma camp at Stephen F. Austin is helping children learn more about asthma.

Children are learning warning signs of asthma. They are learning how to prepare and be aware in case they have an asthma attack. The children demonstrate how to check their peak levels. This calculates how much air the lungs are receiving.

Not only is the asthma camp educational, but the kids are having a lot of fun participating. They get to swim and play just like in all camps.
