Funeral services for Ruth F. Russell, 91, of Huntington will be held Friday, April 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Reverend James Forrest and Reverend Bradley Reed officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.
Mrs. Russell was born October 7, 1916 in Angelina County, Texas to Essie Arizona (Walker) White and Marshall Johnson "Doc" White, and died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Russell was a lifetime resident of Huntington. She was a homemaker, and was a member of the Pine Forest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Ruby Hyacinth Hatch of Huntington and Charlene Hubbard of Port Neches; daughter-in-law, Joyce Russell McDaniel of Lufkin; grandchildren, Donna Hubbard Greer, Diane Hubbard Weathers, Mark Hatch, Luke Hatch, Paul Hatch and Kelly Russell; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother and sister-in-law, Robert P. and Mary White of Tomball; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Floyd Russell in 1974; son, Kelly Douglas Russell; granddaughters, Denise Hubbard, Kristina Russell and Karyn Russell; sisters, Leona Massengale, Essie Mae McGaughey, Juanita Gates, Jimmie E. Brown and Ruby Sutton; and brother, Charles B. White.
Pallbearers will be Mark Hatch, Luke Hatch, Paul Hatch, Kelly Russell, Matthew Hatch and Koty Russell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kent Allen McGaughey and Jack Henry Brown.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Forest Baptist Church, Huntington, Texas.
