Delton Eugene "Gene" Mosley
Funeral services for Delton Eugene "Gene" Mosley, 67, of Huntington will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Lamar Denby and Brother Delton Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.
Mr. Mosley was born September 15, 1940 in Angelina County, Texas to Mary John (Collier) and Franklin Elbert Mosley, and died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Mosley was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. He was a supervisor for Texas Foundries, and retired after 41 years of service. Mr. Mosley loved fishing, camping with his family, hunting and going to the beach. He was a member of the Highway Baptist Church in Huntington.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jenny Mosley of Lufkin; son, Dean Mosley of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Damon Hildebrand of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Rhonda and Mark Hough of Lufkin; grandchildren, Shana Patrick, Jacob Mosley, Ethan Mosley, Ashley Moore, Tate Hildebrand, Elizabeth Hildebrand, Dagan Hough and Landon Hough; great-granddaughter, Abigail Moore; sister, Sue Duke; brother, Jimmy Mosley; sister-in-law, Sally Mosley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Adron Mosley.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Mosley, Dagan Hough, John Stanbery, David Mosley, Tracy Harris, Brian Moore and Chad Arnold.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Harris and Friends of Holly Acres.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Highway Baptist Church, 212 South Main Street, Huntington, Texas 75949.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
