The trial of an East Texas woman accused of a hit and run started Monday in Lufkin.
Sabrina Dykes of Lufkin is charged with manslaughter and criminal neligent homicide. Authorities say she was responsible for the June 2006 death of Jeffery Myrick. Today several witnesses testified that they saw Dykes' car hit Myrick's motorcycle after she failed to yield the right of way at FM 2021 and Highway 59 North. Witnesses also say Dykes fled the scene after she hit Myrick.
Dykes's trial is expected to run through Wednesday, April 23, 2008.
