Robert Lacy Jackson
Funeral services for Robert Lacy Jackson, 90, of Pollok will be held Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in the Pollok Baptist Church with Brother Joe Carriere and Brother Brady Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.
Mr. Jackson was born September 10, 1917 in Leon County, Texas to the late Nettie Mae (Woodard) and Robert Officer Jackson, and died Monday, April 21, 2008 in a Houston hospital. He had resided in Angelina County for 38 years. Mr. Jackson served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired from Morrow Pontiac. He was a member of Pollok Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Jackson; sisters, Bonnie Shaull and Minnie Nell Warner; a number of nephews; one great-niece; and three great nephews.
Pallbearers will be members of Pollok Baptist Church.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
