Clifford Ray Duhon, Sr.
Clifford Ray Duhon, Sr., 76, of Bonham, was born January 7, 1932, in Jennings, Louisiana, and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 24, 2008.
Mr. Duhon was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a retired supervisor for Millevium Corporation.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jose Duhon of Bonham; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Randy Mercer of Bonham; son and daughter-in-law, Clifford Ray Jr. and Auba Duhon of Dayton; grandchildren, Jennie Duhon, Melanie Martin, Shona Saunders, Shane Duhon, Specialist Adam Berry, Ryan and Aaron Mercer; great-grandchildren, Macy and Colton Gibson, Ethan Saunders and Cambre Mercer; brother, Bobby Duhon of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters, Ruth Brown of Buna, Rose Piske of Texas City and Lucille Vaughn of Magnolia; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mr. Duhon was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Paul and Lizida Duhon; brother, Earl Duhon; and sisters, Elgie Benoit, Olymph Benoit and Cora Raca.
Pallbearers will be Specialist Adam Berry, Shane Duhon, Aron Mercer, Milo Reina, Joe Oden and Jason Martin.
Services for Mr. Duhon will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Randy Mercer officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
