Velma Green Harvill
Graveside services for Velma Green Harvill, 83, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the Treadwell Cemetery with Dr. Andy Pittman officiating.
Velma was born August 10, 1924 in Neches, Texas to Pearl (Stanley) and Ed Link Green, and died Friday, April 25, 2008 in Woodville. She resided in Lufkin most of her life.
Mrs. Harvill was a retired division manager for Weiner's Department Store. She loved to read and enjoyed walking. Mrs. Harvill was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Harvill of Houston, Larry Harvill of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Spencer Rice of Ann Arbor, Michigan; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Linda Smith of Georgia; sisters, Eva Kimbrough of Woodville, Jennie Gilcrease and husband, Noah of Lufkin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Margie Green of Huntington and Norman and Evonne Green of Huntington; special nieces and husbands, Martha and James Kimbrough and Janie and Bob Mahan of Woodville; a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
