Lufkin Police Report - 4/28/08

ASSAULT/A: 1400 BLOCK OF S MEDFORD DR. Complainant reported that her husband hit her in the face while she was driving. He then grabbed the steering wheel making her drive off the roadway and onto a steep embankment.  She reported that he then took her cell phone when she tried to call 911 and fled on foot.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 200 BLOCK OF E DENMAN AV. Complainant was awakened by his car alarm going off just before 5am Monday.  He found that his car window had been broken out and his satellite radio was stolen.

ASSAULT/C: 1300 BLOCK OF CROOKED CREEK. Complainant reported that she was shoved and hit in the head by a known suspect during a disturbance Sunday night.  No visible injuries.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: 3500 BLOCK OF N JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported hearing glass breaking Sunday night and saw three males walking from the area.  Complainant later found the windows of a vacant apartment broken out.

ASSAULT: 1000 BLOCK OF CLINTON. Complainant reported that he received an injury to his shoulder in a fight with a known suspect.  Complainant stated it was mutual combat and that he didn't want to file charges.

HARASSMENT: 700 BLOCK OF CHESTNUT. Complainant reported receiving numerous harassing phone calls from a known suspect.

ASSAULT: 1700 BLOCK OF S FIRST ST. Complainant reported that a known suspect hit her several times during an argument over a debt Sunday afternoon.  Complainant had minor injuries.

THEFT/B: 1000 BLOCK OF JONES ST. Complainant reported that a boy's bicycle was stolen from the yard Saturday night.

THEFT/A: 1100 BLOCK OF N FIRST ST. Complainant reported that a basket of clothes and a handheld vacuum were stolen off his back porch Sunday.

THEFT: 1200 BLOCK OF DENMAN. Complainant reported that a known suspect took her purse Saturday night and when he finally returned it, two debit cards were missing from the purse.
