Hundreds of east texas are joining together to help raise money and awareness for cancer research. It's the American Ccancer Ssociety's annual Relay For Life and there's still time to be a part of it. [
It started at 7 tonight and will be going all night long until 7 tomorrow morning. The event kicked off with a cancer survivor lap. People lined the sidelines and cheered as survivors made their way around the track at Lufkin Middle School. Survivors say, it's touching to see so many come out to fight for them.
"I have colon cancer. I got diagnosed last September and have two treatments left. But we're going to beat it. We've got to," said Lisa Perry.
