Funeral services for Burton Truman "B.T." Romines, 82, of Pollok will be held Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Michael Stewart officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Rusk County Memorial Gardens in Henderson.

Mr. Romines was born March 16, 1926 in Rusk County, Texas to the late Sudie (Richardson) and Robert Romines, and died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at his residence.

A former resident of Bossier City, Louisiana, Mr. Romines had resided in Pollok since 1972. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II and was a self-employed construction contractor. Mr. Romines was an ordained deacon and member of O'Quinn Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nelda Romines of Pollok; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Debi Romines of Wilmington, North Carolina and Garry and Marsha Romines of Mt. Vernon; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Fred Stewart of Blanchard, Louisiana, Vicki Glenn of Houston and Maxie and Toby Poling of Pollok; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Bobbie Romines of Tracy, California; and sister, Vicky McCoy of Stockton, California.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, George Glenn.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
