Whitehouse Bridge Project Pushed Back

The Highway 59 bridge construction off Whitehouse has been pushed back once again.

The construction will begin May 19th to May 31st.  It had to be pushed back because of the contractor who is delayed on a project in another state.

They will raise the bridge and add u-turn lanes. The original date of the project was set for June 23rd, and it looks like the project will begin closer to that date than expected. Two inside lanes underneath the bridge and the bridge itself will be closed during the construction. Ramps will remain open.
