Monday was a day of celebration for many, it is Cinco de Mayo.
Students at Lufkin High School were definitely celebrating with food, music, and lots of dancing.
Cinco de Mayo is a regional holiday in Mexico, primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla. The holiday commemorates an initial victory of Mexican forces over French forces in the Battle of Puebla in 1862.
And, lots of students got into the spirit. Organizers wanted to bring more awareness to the holiday.
