Nacogdoches Police Report - 5/13/08

DWI: 4900 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Officers responded to an intoxicated driver call. Officers located the vehicle and stopped it. Officers suspected the driver of being intoxicated. Teffiny Wertz was arrested.

ASSAULT: 1200 BLOCK OF MARK STREET. A known suspect assaulted a female by striking her. No serious injury; charges filed in municipal court.

RESISTING ARREST/PUBLIC INTOXICATION: 2300 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. Officers attempted to arrest the suspect for public intoxication. The suspect struggled and resisted arrest. Sebastian Reed was arrested.

VIOLATION OF A PROTECTIVE ORDER: 300 BLOCK OF ELLINGTON. Officers responded to a civil standby. One of the persons on the scene was found to be in violation of a protective order. Kevin McDaniel was arrested.

FURNISHING ALCOHOL TO A MINOR-FAILURE TO IDENTIFY: 2900 BLOCK OF NORTH PECAN. Officers responded to a noise complaint. Cody Newell and Andrew McDavid failed to identify to officers and were arrested. Justin Martin, Matthew Mendes and Russell Lent were found to be furnishing alcohol to minors and were arrested.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 200 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. Complainant reported the unauthorized use of a credit card to make internet purchases.

THEFT: 1200 BLOCK OF FERGUSON STREET. Complainant reported thirty hydrocodone tablets missing from a medicine cabinet.

RESISTING SEARCH-DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 2000 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Officers contacted the suspect for using profanity in public. Suspect resisted a pat down and attempted to pull away from officers, and threatened officers. Joshua Worsham was arrested.

ROBBERY: 2000 BLOCK OF SOUTH STREET. Suspect was observed taking items from a store. The clerk approached the suspect and the suspect pushed the clerk and threatened him. The suspect fled on foot and was captured by officers. Terry Wayne Phipps was arrested.
