Officer Appreciation

by Christa Lollis

This week is national correctional officer appreciation week.   Today Sheriff Kent Henson honored the county's officers for the hard work they do year round. The department held a catfish fry with all the fixings, hushpuppies, beans french fires and of course dessert. Law enforcement from all over Angelina County attended the event. The correctional officers in the county help run the jail and make sure inmates are supervised at all times.
